It is with broken hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dear angel, Devan Dwayne Maher. Passed away suddenly at HSC ICU on October 16, 2011 in the presence of his loving family. Predeceased by devoted grandparents Aloysius (Wish) and Anne Hynes. Leaving to mourn his parents Dwayne and Denise and adoring sister and friend Aynslie. Grandparents Tom and Kathleen Maher, Poppy’s second wife Mary, uncles David (Sharon), Danny (Andrea), and Tommy Maher. Uncles: Terry (Sherry) and Donny (Terri) Hynes. Aunt Robbi Piercey (Keith). Cousins: Brandon and Zachary Hynes, Kyle and Keegan Hynes, Cassandra and Kirkland McGrath, Nathan and Hailey Maher and Thomas Maher (mother Jeanette Collins). Also leaving to mourn extended family members and a very large circle of friends and his co-workers at The Keg Steakhouse and Bar. While God decided to call Devan at a young age of 20, we were not ready to let him go. We do know that he lived a very happy, rewarding life with many good memories. Devan had a huge impact on many lives during his short journey of life. He was admired for his artistic and musical talents as well as his sense of humour. Resting at Barretts Funeral Home, Commonwealth Ave., Mount Pearl, Tuesday, October 18 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, October 19, 10-12, 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass Thursday, October 20 at St. Peter’s Parish, Ashford Drive, Mount Pearl at 10 a.m. His free spirit and gentleness will live on.
