Peacefully at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital on Sunday, October 25, 2009, of Major (Ret’d) Kenneth C.W. Bourgeau, CD of Charlottetown in his 77th year.
Beloved husband of Elsie Anne Brown-Bourgeau and dear father of Edward P.K. (Youko) Bourgeau, Houston, T.X.; Daniel A. Bourgeau, Burnaby, B.C.; and Patricia (Yurgen) Wiedemer, Wurzburg, Germany. Ken is also survived by his stepson, Erik V. Brown, Bradford, Ont.; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother, Angus (Janet) Bourgeau, North Bay, Ont.; stepmother, Madelaine Bourgeau, Montreal, Quebec; and numerous family members.
Predeceased by his first wife, Wanda; daughter, Barrie Clarke; grandson, Peter Clarke; and his parents, Edward and Cecilia (nee Landry) Bourgeau.
Resting at the Hennessey Funeral Home until 9:45 Friday morning, then transferred to the Church of the Most Holy Redeemer for funeral mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow in the family plot in the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Charlottetown.
Visiting hours at the funeral home on Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Foundation.
Branch #1 of the Royal Canadian Legion will hold a veteran’s tribute service at the funeral home on Thursday evening at 6:45 p.m.
