Passed peacefully away surrounded by his loving family at the Health Sciences Complex on Sunday, October 25, 2009. Douglas Chaulk aged 71 years. Douglas is a retired employee with 40 years of service with Newfoundland Light and Power. He was also a member of the St. John’s Mazol Shriners. Predeceased by his parents: Percy and Agnes; infant son; brothers: Frank and Lewis; sister: Shirley Walsh; father-in-law: Charles Hollett and mother-in-law: Doris Hollett. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his wife of 48 years: Barbara (nee Hollett); daughters: Debbie Chaulk (Gerald Biggs); Cheryl Woodfine (John) and Krista Clarke (Wayne); son: Doug (Leah); grandchildren: David and Danielle Foote, Johnny, Scott and Kerri Woodfine and Matthew and Jordan Chaulk; brothers: Percy (Gwen) and Bob; sisters: Phyllis, Florence (Al), Millie (Ron) and Roma (Aut); sisters-in-law: Linda Hollett and Karen Hollett (Fred Harrington); brother-in-law: Charles Hollett (Monica), as well as many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mt. Pearl on Monday, Oct. 26th and Tuesday, Oct. 27th from 12 noon to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held from St. Mary’s Anglican Church on Wednesday, Oct. 28th at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Rd.
