On October 16, 2009, Tiffany Hussey died in her sleep at her Toronto residence. She was 39. She was the much-loved daughter of Geoffrey and Margery Hussey of Charlottetown, and the sister of brother Jolyon of Vancouver. A memorial gathering of family and friends has been held. In accordance with her wishes she was cremated. Friends who wish to remember her should walk along the Charlottetown boardwalk and look out to the sea, where she is now swimming towards a new horizon.
