Passed away on Thursday, October 20th, 2011 at the Hoyles-Escasoni Complex, in the presence of his family. John (Jack) Bavis, age 86 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, his wife Angela; daughters: Jeanie (Bob Tancock), Kelly (Tony Mercer), Pam (Paul Tobin); grandchildren: Camden and Shannon Mercer; brother Charlie (Lena) and a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by parents John and Catherine, daughter Catherine Ann, sisters Catherine O’Keefe (Chris), Mary Smith (Pat), Sr. Christine Bavis, Ann McNeil (Joe), Elizabeth O’Leary (Dan), Madeline Power (Bill), brothers James and Thomas (Maurite). Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Saturday 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. and Sunday 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. Funeral Mass on Monday, October 24th, at 9:30 a.m. from Mary Queen of the World Church, Topsail Road.
