BUTT, Robert Charles (Bob) – Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family at the Health Sciences Centre on Friday, October 21, 2011, Robert Charles Butt, aged 84 years. Predeceased by parents, Anna Louise and William Butt, sisters Daphne Hopkins and Cynthia White and precious grandson, Joshua Janes. Leaving to mourn with loving memories his dear wife and best friend, Shirley (nee Badcock) (Escasoni); sisters: Joyce Adams and Louise Rowe; his children: Heather Pittman (Robert), Judy Smith (Dave), Susan Janes (Derm) and Robert Butt Jr. (Janice); ten grandchildren: Heidi Story (Shawn), Matthew Pittman (Laurie), Russell Pittman, Janice Smith, Stephen Smith (Lori-Ann), Derm Janes Jr., Laura Janes, Alain Butt, Julie Butt and Michael McKay (Adrian); four great-grandchildren: Abigail Smith, Paige Pittman, Jessica Rice and Taylor McKay. Also leaving to mourn a large number of family and friends as well as staff and residents of Cambridge Estates where he resided for the past six years. Bob was a dedicated employee of Carnell’s Funeral Home for 50 years. At Bob’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Monday, October 24 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Gower Street United Church, on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in Bob’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or Ronald McDonald House.
