It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Angie Deane, age 88, of Glace Bay. Angie passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2011, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, Angie was the daughter of the late Gregory and Sarah (McNeil) Farrell. Angie was a member of St. Anthony's Church, Glace Bay. She loved to bake and cook, and her family meant everything to her.
She will be missed by all you knew her.
Angie will be sadly missed by her daughters, Beverly (Bill), Emily; sons, Stephen (Shelley), Ron (Janice), Art, Robert, David (Tara), Brian (Bev) Les (Rita); brothers, Walter, Cyril (Rhona); sister, Marina. Also surviving are numerous grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Frederick; sons, Raymond, Joe, James and grandson, Jason.
In honouring Angie's wishes, cremation has taken place under the care and direction of V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2011, in the funeral home chapel with Fr. Norman MacPhee officiating. Interment will be in St. Anthony's Cemetery.
