DiLiberatore, Attilio C. “Til”-65, of Amherst, passed away at home with his loving family at his side after a long hard fought illness on October 22, 2011. Born in Notaresco, Italy, on November 4, 1945 to Gina (De Patre) DiLiberatore and the late Bernardo DiLiberatore.

He graduated from Saint Marys University and went on to teach in Middle Musquodoboit and at Amherst Regional High School, where he touched the lives of many students. In 1992 he received a Heart Transplant, which allowed his family and friends to enjoy 19 extra years with him. Due to the kindness of this unknown family, Til was able to see his children grow up, marry, and meet his grandchildren. He enjoyed spending his summers at the Cottage and monthly card games with “The Boys,” and before his illness golfing, fishing and walking the beach. Til was an avid soccer fan, especially of Juventus and the Italian National Team. He was a talented player himself, playing for Saint Pats High School and Saint Marys University. Til will always be loved and missed by family and friends.
