William Joseph Marshall, 60, of Eskasoni, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 25, 2009, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born in Sydney, he was the son of the late William and Margaret Marshall, Eskasoni.
He was a member of Holy Family parish.
He was employed as a gas attendant at Muin Gas Bar in Eskasoni.
He liked to watch hockey and baseball and loved his grandchildren. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Bill is survived by his wife of 38 years, Harriet, two daughters, Margaret ‘Mag’ (Chuck) Morrison and Shauna Marshall, a son, Simon (Darlene), all of Eskasoni; good friend, Joe Clair; four sisters, Lillian, Jessie, Lottie, Gloria, Jeanette, Amelia, Annie Marie, Mary; brothers, Vincent, Mickey, Andrew, Walter, Stephen and 19 grandchildren and by his aunt, Auntie Mae.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, William Joseph.
Visitation for Mr. Marshall will take place after 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 29, 2009, at 45 George St., Eskasoni. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Family Church with Rev. Joe Gillis officiating. Interment in the parish cemetery.
