Passed peacefully away on October 22, 2011 at the Health Sciences Centre, Nathan Edmund Bates, aged 70 years. Nathan was the only child of the late John and Gladys Bates. Leaving to mourn his devoted wife Greta; sons: John and wife Alexandra (Fekete), Robert and wife Kelly (Howse); three loving grandchildren: Claire Elizabeth Bates, Edmund Anthony Bates and Arlo John Bates. Nathan was loved and embraced by a wide circle of extended family, in particular his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins, special aunts Katherine Yetman and Natica Satterthwaite, and friends too numerous to mention. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd. on Monday, October 24th and Tuesday, October 25th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, October 26, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Augustine’s Anglican Church.
