Passed peacefully away on Saturday, October 22nd, 2011, at the North Haven Manor in Lewisporte, Eileen M. Hammond, formerly of Bell Island. Predeceased by her husband Franko (1989), children: Joseph (1950) and Mary (1960), parents Mary Tubert-Kennedy and James Kennedy, sisters: Agnes, Ada, and Elizabeth, and brothers: Jimmy, Ellis, Martin and Robert. Leaving to mourn with cherished memories, daughters: Eileen Patey (Mike) and Betty Patey (Sean); sons: Frank (Maggie), Gerard (Sarah), Martin (Gwen), Don (Edith), Paul (Marg) and Chris (Valerie); 21 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; sisters: Angela, Geraldine and Genevieve, and brothers: Raymond, Gerald, Gordon, Walter, Riv and Aiden. Also, a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Resting at Pendergast’s Funeral Home, Bell Island. Visitation on Monday, October 24th from 2 p.m.- 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to take place on Tuesday, October 25th at 3:00 p.m. from St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church. Interment to follow at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Cemetery, Bell Island, NL.
