Duncan MacLeod
The funeral of the late Duncan MacLeod was held on August 24, 2011. A Celebration of Life Mass was held at St. Theresa's Church, Sydney, with interment at Resurrection Cemetary, Sydney Forks. We the family would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone for their prayers and support at this time. Thank you to all who sent food and visited our home. Also the many phone calls and messages of condolence. Thanks to the many people from near and far who visited the funeral home to show their respect. Many thanks for the Mass cards, sympathy cards, beautiful flowers, memorials and donations to charity in dad's name. They were a comfort to mom. At this time, we would like to express our thanks to Dr. D'Intino and staff of the An Cala Palliative Care, Cape Breton Regional Hospital. Words will never be enough to express the wonderful care and attention to dad and his family during this difficult time. To the paramedics, staff of 3A and Emergency, we thank you big time; especially Dr. Buhariwalla, for your professional care during dad's many visits these past few months. Our gratitude to Fr. James Oliver P.P. at St. Theresa's Parish for the beautiful mass. Thanks to the choir, the soloist, the acolytes who served the Mass and the readers, Michael Ross (grandson), Kelly MacDougall and Jennifer MacLennan (grand-daughters), who read the offerings. Papa Duncan would have been proud. Our thanks to Chant's Funeral Home for their kindness, compassion and attention to detail. It is difficult to put into words how deeply grateful we all are to those who helped in so many ways. God Bless each of you.
