Leo “Deacon” Parago
We, the family of the late Leo “Deacon” Parago would like to sincerely thank all whom attended the wake and funeral mass for our loved one. The charitable donations, sympathy cards, online messages, emails, mass cards, telephone calls, food delivered to our doorstep and funeral home, all were truly appreciated during this difficult time. “Dad” would be honoured to know of the many people who stopped by to tell a story or two about K.O.C. Red Sox Baseball team. Special thanks to Scotty Black for honouring Dad at the Eastern Canadian Fast Ball tournament held Labour Day weekend. We would also like to thank the Staff of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital and Dr. Asim for their wonderful care during his hospital stays in the short period prior to his passing at home. A huge thank- you to the Cape Breton City Homemakers for taking such great care of Dad during the past year. Special thanks to Masie Smith and her daughter Lynn for the help and support to our family during this time. We would also like to thank the Branch 12 Legion for the honour guard along with Father Donald MacGillivray for the lovely service. To Casey and Brenda Parago, Patsy Munroe for the readings and Donnie Campbell for the music and finally to Chants funeral home, we thank you for your compassion and support in making final arrangements for dad. Your kindness will always be remembered.
Flo, Mike, Mary, Stephanie, Nicole and Abbey
