Passed peacefully away at Bonnews Lodge, Badger’s Quay on Saturday, October 22, 2011 Helen Louise Sheppard age 81 years of Pool’s Island. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Sarah Starkes; husband Darius; son Clarence; brothers Roland Starkes, Frank Starkes, Joseph Starkes and Edwin Starkes; sister Mary Pope. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her sons Edwin(Martha) of Pool’s Island, Joseph(Laura) of Pool’s Island, Clayton(Betty) of Brampton, ON., Raymond(Norma) of CBS and Clarence(Mildred) of Pool’s Island; daughter Lillian Clarke(Dawson) of Pool’s Island; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Starkes of Pool’s Island; niece Vicki Kean of Pool’s Island; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service took place at St. James Anglican Church, Pool’s Island on Tuesday, October 25, 2011 with Rev. John Nicolle officiating. Interment followed at The Anglican Cemetery, Pool’s Island.
