1920 - 2011

Alberta, formerly of 100 Mile House and Langley, passed away in Kamloops on October 13th, 2011 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's.

She is survived by her daughter Susan Higgins, son Stephen (Darlene) Jens, grandson Chris Higgins, granddaughter Lisa (Marc) Robitaille and great-grandson Ben Robitaille all of Kamloops.

Alberta was predeceased by her husband Walter in 2008.

She was born in Vancouver, B.C. and married Walter in May of 1943. They were married for 64 happy years. In 1999 Alberta started showing signs of dementia and over the next 12 years the disease slowly took her from us.

An Interment will be held at Ocean View Burial Park in Burnaby, B.C.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
