LOCH BROOM – Heather Edwina (Crawford) MacKay, 58, Loch Broom, passed away peacefully at her home, Tuesday, October 27, 2009, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer.
Born on November 13, 1950, she was a daughter of Pennual (Johnstone) Duggan and the late James "Buster" Crawford.
Heather will be dearly missed by her husband of 38 years, Joseph MacKay; son Troy (Delene), Westville; daughter, Lea Osmond (Chris), Toronto; grandchildren, James Osmond and Shauna MacKay. She is also survived by sisters, Theresa Mills (Larry); Bonnie Cotter (Billie); brothers: Jimmie (Virginia); Kenneth; Allan; Mark; and Timmy (Kelly) Crawford.
Cremation will take place. There will be no visitation. Her memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Friday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville.
Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Lodge that Gives, Halifax or to the Palliative Care Society.
