Evelyn Gertrude Hemwood, 86, Rocklin, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2009, in Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow.
Born in New Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Isadore and Bridget (MacGuire) Hemwood.
She will be dearly missed by her daughters: Anne Denoon, Markham, Ont.; Elva MacLean (George), Rocklin; Darlene Hale (John), Trenton; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and a brother, Frank Martin (Winnie), Little Harbour.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Hemwood; a sister, Margaret Sheridan; and brothers: Ambrose, Thomas, and Joseph Martin.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (today) from 2-3 pm at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville, followed by a graveside service at Lourdes Cemetery at 3:15.
