FOWLIE, ALBERT A. - 1942-2011 - Miramichi - Albert Alexander Fowlie, husband of Rose-Mary Fowlie, of Little Branch Road, Black River Bridge, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Thursday, October 27, 2011, at the age of 69. Born in Chatham, on August 25, 1942, he was the son of Laura A. (McLenaghan) and the late James A. Fowlie. He was a machinist with Cooper Besmer Ltd., in Ontario, as well as a former employee of District #16 School Board (Bus Driver) and an adherent of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge. He is survived by his mother, Laura Fowlie; his wife, the former Rose-Mary Lease; three daughters, Faye MacDonald ( Donny), of Black River Bridge, Judi Swain (Greg), of Miramichi, Lynda Krauskops (Shawn), of Stratford, Ont.; two foster children Chantel and Tanis Gunn, both of Moncton; two sisters, Mary Bonney, of London, Ont. and Betty Jones (Lloyd), of Black River Bridge; eight grandchildren, Teri-Lynn, Laura, Jenna, Dennis, Andre, Kimberly, Stephanie, Nicholas; four great grandchildren, Cash, Walker, Colbie, Rebecca; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, James A. Fowlie.
By his request, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date, conducted by Penny Postlethwaite. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the I.W.K. Children's Hospital, or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
