JONAH, ALICE - 1924 - 2011 - Alice Jonah passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the age of 87. Alice was a war bride and wife of the late Arthur Jonah of Riverview. Born in Manchester, England, Alice was the daughter of the late John Thomas and the late Alice (Hepplestone) Hook. Alice was predeceased by her two sisters: Winnie and Irene both of England. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She retired from T. Eaton's Co. Alice is survived by brother-in-law: Walter Jonah (Grace) of Dawson Settlement, three sisters-in-law: Betty London (late Milton) of Moncton, Louise Jones (Warren) of Lutes Mountain and Phyllis Kelly of Pembroke, Ontario, by several nieces and nephews, cousins along with her special friend Hilda Read of England.
A private family service was held at Fair Haven Funeral Home officiated by Rev. Gordon MacLeod. Burial took place at Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
