FOLEY, RUBY J. - Miramichi - Ruby Joyce Foley, widow of the late Lyle W. Foley, of McNair Manor, Moncton, and formerly of Miramichi and Black River Bridge, passed away at her residence, on Sunday, October 30, 2011. Born in Little Branch, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and May (Gilliss) Fowlie. She was a homemaker and a former employee of both T. Eaton Co. Ltd. and Sumner Co. Ltd. She was a member of St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge and also attended St. Andrews United Church, Miramichi; a member of the U.C.W. of St. Andrews United Church. She is survived by two loving daughters, Dawna Matchett (Ed), of Moncton and Gwen Foley (John Walsh), of Miramichi; two sisters, Connie Dealy, of Miramichi and Lynn Taylor (Kenneth), of Black River Bridge; one brother, Neil Fowlie (Marion), of Black River Bridge; her two precious grandchildren, Janelle Watling (Ryan Loughnane) and Alex Walsh; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Lyle, in 1994.
Visitation will be at Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., on Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from St. Stephen's United Church, Black River Bridge, on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 2 pm, conducted by Rev. Charlene Maguire MacKnight. Interment will be in the Black River Community Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Miramichi Chapter of the S.P.C.A., or any charity of the donors' choice, would be appreciated by the family.
