Passed peacefully away at Fahey’s Personal Care Home on October 28, 2011, Gertrude Dawson of Fermeuse, at the age of 92. She was a devoted mother who raised a wonderful family and loved a good game of railroad auction. Predeceased by husband John, baby daughter Mary Elizabeth, sons Bill and Tom, parents Elizabeth and Thomas Lawlor, brothers Walter, Jack, Tom, Cyril and Leo. sisters Mary, Joan, Madeline, Margaret, Kay, and Florence. Leaving to mourn sons: Gerry (Pat), John (Monica), Victor (Brenda), Hubert (Sheilagh), Greg (Marina), Stan (Rita), Ron (Min); daughters: Bernice Greeley, Jeanette Fitzpatrick (Len), Barbara Roberts (Bill), Patsy Moores (Den), Joan Budden (Wendell), and Ann Croft (Keiran); daughter-in-law Vera; sisters:Sr. Elizabeth Lawlor(Presentation Convent), and Alice Hall, brothers-in-law: Bill (Irene) Dawson, Ron (Alice) Dawson, Fred Dawson; sisters-in-law: Nell Lawlor, Loretta O’Toole (Joe), Margaret Collins (Clyde), Mona Richards (Mike), Rita Lawlor, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a large number of nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends, as well as the residents and staff of Fahey’s Personal Care Home. Resting at Fahey’s Funeral Home in Fermeuse with visitation on Sunday, October 30th, and Monday, October 31st, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 pm and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, November 1st, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Charles Borromeo Church, Fermeuse.
