1917 - 2011. Passed peacefully away on Thursday, October 20, 2011, in her 95th year, in Ottawa. Predeceased by her parents, Wilson and Minnie (Brinston) Stacey, daughter Pamela Babstock (Judy Eddy deceased), granddaughter Donna and husband Stewart. Leaving to mourn her children: Stewart (Shirley), Douglas (Bride), Alec (June), Rosalie Dodge, all of St. John's, Hilda (of Ottawa) and Chuck (Diane) (of Oshawa). She also leaves 12 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, friend Alison Moore, many nieces and nephews, friends and relatives in St. John's and Ottawa. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Rd., St. John's on Tuesday, November 1st, 2011, from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral will take place on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. in the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Interment to follow at the General Protestant Cemetery, Old Topsail Rd. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society, Spina Bifida or to a charity of one's choice would be appreciated.
