The death occurred at the Prince County Hospital, Summerside, on Monday, Oct. 26, 2009, of Benjamin “Ben” Arsenault of St. Louis, aged 84 years. Veteran of the Second World War. Born in Palmer Road, he was the son of the late John and Beatrice (Gaudet) Arsenault. Survived by his wife, Marjorie (Peters) Arsenault, sons Wendell (Joyce) Arsenault, Summerside, and Wesley (Dagmar) Arsenault, Edmonton, Alta., grandchildren, Chad, Chantel and Jason (Anna) Arsenault, great-grandchildren, Michael, Emily and Tyishia, a brother, Nelson (Eileen) Arsenault, Oshawa, Ont., and a sister, Jean (Albert) Diamond, Charlottetown. Predeceased by his children, Darlene and Wilbert, brothers, Henry, Arthur, Alphonse and Emile, and sisters, Emily, Rita, Catherine, Yvonne and Mary. Resting at Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, until Saturday, then to Immaculate Conception Church, Palmer Road, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery, Palmer Road. Visiting hours Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial donations to the P.E.I. Humane Society or the Western Hospital, Alberton, would be appreciated.
