GOGUEN-LeBLANC, ALIDA - 1922 - 2011 - Alida Goguen-LeBlanc, 89 of Saint-Antoine, passed away peacefully at the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital, Moncton on Monday, October 31st, 2011. She was married to the late Philippe Goguen (1986) and the late Emery LeBlanc (2000). Born in Saint-Antoine on August 07th, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Joe and the late Ida (Breau) Saulnier. Alida worked for seventeen years at the Moncton City Hospital in the housekeeping department. She was a member of the Saint-Antoine Golden Age Club, and an avid piano player, and card player. She will be sadly missed by her eleven children, Myonne Gallant (Gilbert) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Dorice Nowlan (Adolphe) and Antoinette LeBlanc (Rhéal) of Bouctouche, Murielle Goguen (John) of Moncton, Claudette Cormier (Gaspard) of Dieppe, Cécilia Poirier (Gerald) of Shediac, Joanne LeBlanc (Ronald), Jean-Victor Goguen (Aldéa), Morel Goguen (Céline), and Guy-Philippe Goguen (Noëlla) of Saint-Antoine and Évariste Goguen (Joan) of Waltham, MA., her twenty six grandchildren, thirty nine great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. She also leaves to mourn her son-in-law Ovila Goguen of Saint-Antoine, her two sisters, Rita Goguen of Saint-Antoine, and Dorice Fortin (Don) of Tampa, FL., one brother Alphée (Ronalda) of Shediac and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three daughters, Fédora (2008), Germaine and Jacynthe in infancy, one granddaughter, Sandra and one grandson Gilles, and three sisters, Lorette, Éva and Fédora.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, Saint-Antoine on Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011 from 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 5:30 to 6:45 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Antoine Church on Thursday, November 3rd, 2011 at 7:00 pm with interment in the parish cemetery.
