Hervé LeBlanc
LeBLANC, HERVÉ - Hervé LeBlanc, 88, of L’Oasis d’Or in Dieppe, passed away peacefully at his residence on October 31, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Born April 12, 1923 in Memramcook, he was the son of the late Sévère and Lina (LeBlanc) LeBlanc. A genuinely kind man, Hervé was a very devoted and loving father and grandfather. He will be remembered by all those who knew him for his compassion for people, his generosity and most of all his contagious sense of humour. He always had a good story to tell. Hervé was a foreman at CNR until 1969, at which time he left to concentrate on his own business, Hervé V. LeBlanc Ltd., as a general contractor. Over the years, he was a member of the Moncton Rotary Club, the Knights of Columbus as well as the Christ-Roi Golden Age Club. Hervé enjoyed socializing with family and friends, and spending winters with Léona in Florida. An avid card player, he particularly enjoyed playing bridge. He also enjoyed playing golf and had a passion for baseball and hockey. He is survived by six children: son, Charles (Claudette) of Moncton; daughters: Carmelle Caissie (Maurice Brine) of Moncton, Jacqueline Bourque (Bernard) of Sept-Isles, QC, Pauline LeBlanc-Levesque (Rémi) of Moncton, Nancy Macdonald (Roddie) of Dartmouth, NS, and Marise LeBlanc (Guy Cormier) of Dieppe; 15 grandchildren: Luc (Tanya), Marc (Nathalie), Julie, Lynne (Jason), Yves, Martin (Julie), Denis, Christopher (Stacey), Serge (Sophie), Sophie, Ian (Heather), Kevin, Matthew, Gabrièle (Justin) and Samuel; four great-grandchildren: Emma and Sarah, Emily and Zachary; two sisters: Edmée of Memramcook and Ella of Moncton, as well as many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife, Léona; one daughter, Denise; his son-in-law: Raymond Caissie; and his sisters and brother: Catherine, Gérald, Diana and Corinne.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Christ-Roi R.C.
