BLAKNEY, MARION W. - Marion W. Blakney, 84, of Dieppe and formerly of Dixon Point, passed away peacefully at The Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Born in Moncton, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Laura (Killam) Rogers. Marion was a retired self employed hairdresser and enjoyed oil painting, history and television. Marion will be sadly missed by her children, Gloria Blakney Leonard (Don), North York, ON, Edward Blakney (Cathy Corlett Blakney), Moncton; grandchildren, Marc, Joshua, Emma and Amy; great grandchildren, Jessica, Nicholas, Jessyca and MacKenzie; sister, Lois of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Chambers S. Blakney (1979); brother, Austin; sisters, Olive, Gladys, Phyllis, Donna and Fran.
