
Audrey Steeves
STEEVES, AUDREY M. - 1914 - 2011 - It is with peace that the family of Audrey M. Steeves, 97, of Moncton, announces her passing at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday, November 1, 2011. Born in Richibucto, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Annie (MacFarlane) Brown. Audrey was a founding member of Uplands Baptist Church, as well as a committed member of many groups and organizations over the years, including the IODE, WMS, Daughters of the Nile, Moncton Curling Club, Rotary and an Honorary Life Member of The Gideons. Audrey will be remembered as having a keen interest in genealogy, postage stamps and history. She loved growing roses at her home on the Salisbury Road, where she graciously hosted many meals and gatherings. In her passing, we have lost a true lady. Audrey will be sadly missed by her sons, Peter (Linda) and Jim (Sandy), both of Moncton; precious grandchildren, Mark, Peggy (Winter) and Tim Webb; Brenda (Berry), Andrew, James and John Steeves; Jennifer (Pollard) and Peter Steeves; also, eighteen cherished great grandchildren and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Winston A. Steeves; her daughter, Dianne Webb (Gil); her brother, Edwin Brown and two sisters, Janet O’Brien and Ruth MacMaster.
No visitation by personal request. Celebration of Life Service for Audrey at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Saturday November 5, 2011, 1:00 pm, Rev. Gordon James and Rev. Jack Allen officiating. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the service. Interment, Fair Haven Memorial Gardens.
