Mischa Zeltner


The death of Cyril Frederick Dixon age 85 occurred peacefully on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre in Upper Nappan with his loving daughters by his side.
Born in Springhill, NS, he was a son of the late Frederick J. and Alice S. (Mitchell) Dixon.
Cyril was a real gentleman and a gentle man and will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Shirley Dixon of Port Howe, NS and Diana (Patrick Dowsett) Dixon of Ottawa, ON; brother, David (Faith) of Windsor, NS; sister, Eileen (Dick) Cameron of Amherst; three granddaughters, Stephanie (Sheldon) Tovell of Kansas, Allison Tovell and Kaleigh Dowsett both of Ottawa; two great granddaughters, Sophie and Lily Clarke of Kansas; sister in law, Shirley MacCallum of Springhill, NS; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cyril was predeceased by his wife the former Lorraine Dickie of Springhill, NS.
Family and friends are invited to a time of visitation on Monday, October 26, 2009 from 7-9 p.m. at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (667-9906) Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Campbell's Chapel with Rev. Patti Blundell officiating.
Interment will follow in the Linden Hillside, Cemetery.
