Edith (Fudge) Carter
It is with heavy hearts, we faced a wife and mothers passing, which was so overwhelming, it was hard to imagine how we would cope. Although, we have tough times ahead, we could never have been able to move forward, without the support of all of you, that had given so graciously your time. Words cannot express how truly touched we are at your generosity, but it must be said, Mom would be so humbled to know, how you took us under your wings during our time of sorrow. We are very grateful for the compassion and commitment shown to Mom by the doctors and staff of CB Regional Hospital Dept’s of Emerg, Day Surgery, ICU, and Palliative Care – truly outstanding. To the staff of Chants Funeral Home, if there was ever a guiding light in the darkness, you were it, your advice and expertise was crucial. Special thanks, to Sheldon, for your kind words of comfort and your lovely rendition of Moms’ favorite song. For the beautiful service by Rev. Laura McCue, organist Flora Gardiner and the choir of St. Bartholomew’s and all who participated in the choir from other denominations, we the families wish to express our sincere thank you. An extra, thank you, to Rev. Laura for her choice of song, ‘Welcome to my World’, for Dad it was a very thoughtful touch to the service. Not to be forgotten, the ladies of the ACW, Mom's sisters in Christ, for the lovely reception that followed the service. We would like to thank the readers, Gerald & Malida Barter, Stella Fudge and Laurie (grandaughter) Goyetche, for the beautiful readings. Thank you to the Pallbearers: Wallace and Raymond Barter, Sam, Reggie and Mitchell (grandson) Carter, and George Taylor. Also, thank you, to the grandchildren, who were the honorary pallbearers. A special mention, to the LVFD, who formed an honor guard for Mom. To our family and friends that traveled a distance to be our pillars of strength, we love and thank you so very much. And last, but not least, to our community of Louisbourg and surrounding areas for the food, flowers, cards, mass cards, monetary donations, prayers, hugs and love which flowed in abundance, we are eternally grateful. Words can never express how much your kindnesses meant to us. To name you all would be so very hard, but fear not, your names will be forever written in Mom's scrapbook.
God Bless you all
Leo (Sr) and Family
