Selanders, Keith Ivan of Carstairs, AB and formerly of Val Marie, SK passed away peacefully on October 23, 2009, at the age of 90, in the Didsbury Hospital. Keith was born at Cadillac. SK on January 12, 1919. He farmed in Saskatchewan until 1968, worked for the PFRA from 1972 to 1985 and then moved to Carstairs where he worked, played and visited at Carstairs Ford until 1998. His favorite activities were rodeo, travel, Chinese food, baseball, hockey, golf, dancing and playing cards. He was predeceased by his parents; and his wife Delphine on May 24, 1982. He was also predeceased by three brothers Kirk, Klee and Ken; sisters-in-law Lorraine and Doreen and daughter-in-law Larraine. He is survived by his children Gail, Gary (Debbie) and Joy (Paul); grandchildren, great grandchildren, brother-in-law Norm (Ev) Johnson and his family; friend Doris and numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Warren's Funeral in Swift Current, Sk with Pastor Brad Julien officiating. The pallbearers were Keith grandchildren; Shawn Selanders, Trevor Selanders, Serese Selanders-Koch, Monty Selanders, Derek Selanders, Darrah Selanders, Leah Hanson, Layne Lebel and Dori Lebel. The interment service took place at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Swift Current, Sk. Warren's Funeral Home in care of arrangements.
