Passed peacefully away in the presence of his loving family on November 2, 2011 at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion, Mel King, age 90 years. Veteran WWII British Royal Navy and long standing Legion Member, Branch 56. Predeceased by his wife, Susan (nee Kennedy) on September 12, 2000, brothers Leslie, Wallace, and Allan, sisters Mildred, Myrtle, Carrie and Effie. Leaving to mourn with precious memories sons: Melvin (Carol) and their children Kirk (Andria) and Jeremy; Dick (Angela) and their children Meghan and Anna; Wayne (Valerie Lewis) and his children Tracey (Paul), Lindsey (Danny) and Ryne and their mother Anne; daughters: Glenda (Stan Leppert), Carolyn (Don Halleran) and their children Jennifer (Chris) and Jane; Jacqui (Doug Stokes); sister-in-law Sr. Irene Kennedy; brother-in-law, Nelson Mutrey and also a large number of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. Special thanks to the kind and caring staff at the Caribou Veterans Pavilion. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road with visitation on Thursday and Friday from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at St. James United Church.
