It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Ruth announce her passing at Western Memorial Regional Hospital, Palliative Care Unit on Wednesday, November 2nd, at the age of 92 years. She leaves to mourn her three sisters: Mona McAuley, Summerside, Doreen (Jerry Whyte), Lake Charlotte, NS and Shirley Loder, Halifax, NS; special niece Hilda Bellows; sister-in-law: Lydia Ruth; brother-in-law: Loran (Dick) Taylor; nieces, nephews and a large circle of friends. She was predeceased by her husband Rex in 1996; parents: Albert and Martha Loder; sister Marie Loder; nephews: Richard Loder and Paul McAuley; and brothers-in-law: Bernard Parsons and Basil McAuley. Hilda was a resident of Summerside and in later years resided at Mountain View Estates and the Long Term Care Home in Corner Brook. Visitation will take place from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Summerside on Thursday from 7-9:00 p.m. and on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., from where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 5th at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Patricia cemetery with Reverend Malcolm Palmer officiating. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church Memorial Fund or Western Memorial Regional Hospital Foundation.
