KELLY, LaVERNE R. - It is with great sadness that the family of LaVerne Rachel Kelly of Upper Kingsclear, N.B. announce her sudden and unexpected passing on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital. She was 67. Born October 1, 1944 on Deer Island, N.B., she was the daughter of the late Jack and Leona (Johnson) Johnson. LaVerne was a homemaker and attended Life Tabernacle. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Carmen J. Kelly and her cherished daughter Tamera Kelly at home. Also survived by sisters Iva Dempsey and Cora Fulford (Bob) both of Ontario, Audrey Dickinson (George) of Woodstock, N.B., Phyllis Morehouse (Arville) of Zealand, Marjorie Johnson and Ardith Johnson both of St. Stephen; brothers Blair (Joanne) of Ontario, Douglas (Brenda) and Medford (Lois) both of St. Stephen; numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents and a sister, Ethel Greenlaw.
The family will receive condolences at Bishop’s Funeral Home, 540 Woodstock Road, Fredericton on Sunday, November 6 from 2 to 4 P.M. and 7 to 9 P.M. A celebration of LaVerne’s life will be held Monday, November 7, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. from Life Tabernacle, 1644 Hanwell Road, Fredericton with Rev. Terry Messer officiating. Interment at a later date. Memorials to the I.W.K. Health Center Foundation, Children’s Wish Foundation or the Fredericton S.P.C.A. would be appreciated by the family.
