Leander Thomas Hender

Leander Thomas Hender was born on September 14th, 1925 to Thomas and Annie Hender of White Bay. He worked in the Woods and Sawmill business. He met and married Clementine Holloway and they were married for 68 years. Together they had 5 daughters and 2 sons; Elizabeth (Eugene) Coles, Frances (Larry) Walsh, Ada (Howard) Butt, Lily (Milton) Goulding, Beverly, Henry (Audrey) and Willie (Dianne). 14 Grandchildren and 20 Great Grandchildren. The Funeral Service was held at The Salvation Army Citadel in Gambo, at 2 PM on Thursday November 3rd. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Gambo.
