BURGESS, Hilda Marie - 96, of Kentville, passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 in Shannex Orchard Court, Kentville. Born in Upper Dyke, Kings County, she was a daughter of the late William and Sarah Burgess. She is survived by a son, Donald, Flesherton, Ontario; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by two sons, Bordon and Beverley; a daughter, Barbara; five sisters, Daisy, Hattie, Annie, Georgina and Reta; four brothers, Archie, Walter, Aubrey and Vern. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Visitation was held from 2-4 p.m. Monday, October 31, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 1, 2011, Reverend Doctor John McNally officiating. Burial took place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam Mill, Kings County. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
