Catherine (Kay) MacDougall

Oct. 12, 1922 - Oct. 15, 2011
The funeral of Catherine (Kay) MacDougall was held at Holy Redeemer Church, Sydney on October 19, 2011 with internment in Forest Haven Memorial Gardens. We, the family, would like to extend our sincerest appreciation to all who helped and supported us during the loss of our loving mother and sister. Our gratitude to Rev. Paul Murphy, P.P. and Rev. Francis Cameron for assisting at the Mass, the wonderful choir, acolytes, the readers, granddaughters Amy and Mindy MacNeil and Megan MacDougall, Sr. Mary and Elizabeth Beaton for the offertory. To nephews Joe and Jim MacLean, close friend Wanda Quinlan for serving as Eucharistic Ministers. A special thank you to the pallbearers, grandson Daniel MacDougall, nephews Francis MacNeil and Kyle Beaton and close friends Hugh MacNeil, Danny MacKenzie and Blaise O'Handley. Thank you to the ladies of Holy Redeemer CWL for the honour guard and for providing the lovely lunch. Our gratitude to Dr. Paul Murphy and the 4D Unit at Cape Breton Regional Hospital, to Chant's Funeral Home for their kindness, compassion and attention to detail. Words cannot express the thanks to the management, staff and residents of Carefield Manor for the wonderful care, attention and support shown to Mom over the past few years. To our families, friends and neighbours who brought food to our homes, for the flowers, sympathy, mass and enrollment cards, charitable donations made in her memory, for on-line condolences, phone calls and those who travelled from out of town to be with us; we are forever grateful. To each and everyone who comforted us during this difficult time, God Bless you all.
Children,
Lawrence, Peggy, John, Cathy
and families
and the Beaton family.
