WILE, Cecila G. - 65, of Woodville, Kings County, passed away surrounded by her family Saturday, November 5, 2011 at home. Born in Berwick, she was a daughter of the late Donald and Stella (Sawler) Latter. She had been employed at the Kings Regional Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville for a number of years as well as Webster Farms for 25 years. She had been a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion, Kings Branch No. 6, Kentville and was a member of the Woodville Baptist Church, where she served as a Deacon, was active in church fund raising and instigated and planned the annual hanging of the greens. She is survived by her husband, James; a daughter, Donna (Jason “Jay”) Lightfoot, Woodville; two sons, Kenneth “Wayne”, Berwick and Robert (Valetta), Woodville; a sister, Vera, Ontario; five brothers, Donald “Junior”, Waterville; Ralph (Esther), Toronto; Harold (Lola), Waterville; Eric (Judy), Waterville and Avon, Waterville; a sister-in-law, Alice, Toronto; a brother-in-law, Allan Taylor, Coldbrook; four grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Haley Lightfoot, Nathaniel and Emma Lee Wile; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Taylor; two brothers, Russell and Gerald. Cremation has taken place. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. with a Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxiliary service held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 8, 2011 in the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, where the funeral service, followed by a reception, was held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2011, Reverend Tim Bigelow and Reverend Elias Mutale officiating. Burial will take place at a later date in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeville. Family flowers only, by request. Donations in memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
