KEARSEY, Michael John “Mike“ - Peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family at home on Saturday, October 8, 2011 at the age of 63 years. Son of the late Eric and Margret (née Collins) Kearsey. Beloved husband of Lucie Kearsey (née Poirier) of Levack. Loving father of Kelley Hopps, Michelle Proulx (Rob), Thomas Kearsey (Jenny) all of Cobourg, On and Jody Cabrera (Jonathan) of Windsor. Cherished step-father of Genevieve Laurin (P.J.) and Sophie Laurin (Stephen) both of Sudbury. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his grand-children Ariah, Mikayla, Brianna, Gillian, Kaylee, Miguel, Jullian, Coraleigh, Kaylen, Kassidy, Trinity and Ean. Dear brother of Carol-Ann Steile (John), Judy Lee (Fred), Sean Kearsey (Bev) all of Newfoundland, David Kearsey of Toronto, Danny Kearsey (Diane) of Spanish and Shelagh Kearsey (Gary) of Brampton. Sadly missed by Joan DeJode special friend and mother of Mike's four children. He will also be missed by his best friend of 45 years Jo-Ann Pardy and by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. In keeping with Michael's wishes there was no visitation. A Celebration of his Life was held on Saturday, November 5th, 2011 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Legion Branch 503, 3 St. James Street, Onaping.
