Thomas Snow
Lieu de naissance : Terre-Neuve, Canada
Lieu de décès : Glace Bay, Nouvelle Ecosse, Canada
Date de décès : 31 octobre 2009
Of all the strong men I know, Tommy was the strongest.
Tommy Snow passed away peacefully, Saturday, Oct. 31, 2009, at the New Waterford Consolidated Hospital. If we all had an ounce of this man’s personality, we would be great people. Tommy was stricken with Huntington’s disease a number of years ago. To Tommy, this was not a life sentence. Tommy lived as though he had no illness and he would be with us forever.
Walkers of Dominion Beach would recognize this man as he walked freely with is wife, Darlene, daily until illness took the better of him.
Tommy will be sadly missed by his caring mother, Josephine Snow; loving and dedicated wife, Darlene Snow; daughter, Angela Russell, who resides in P.E.I., where she will be left to mourn the loss of a great father figure; special sister, Shirley (Billy); and brothers, George (Judy), Herbie (Regina), Austie (Margie), Wally. Leaving also to mourn heartfully, nieces, Junie and Ann, who were with him until the end.
Tommy was predeceased by his father, Sam Snow, brothers, Billy, Sammy, Freddy, Robbie, sister, Helen, also father and mother-in-law, Frank and Joan Russell.
Always with a pleasant smile, Tommy became instant friends with whomever he happened to meet.
Visitation for Tommy Snow will be held Monday, Nov. 2 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in V.J. McGillivray Funeral Home, 16 Reserve St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 at St. John’s Church, New Aberdeen, with Fr. Conrad Edwards officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
Family flowers only please. Scent free would be appreciated due to allergies. Donations in Tommy’s memory may be made to the Huntington’s Society.

Sand that carried my broken
body one day
The waves that drenched my feet
as they gently lay
Goodbye for now I must go to
God’s home
But know that soon my soul
will again roam.
