At the Western Hospital Alberton on Sunday November 1,2009 with her family by her side of Rose Mary Anne MacKey of the Tignish Seniors Coop Home and formerly of Greenmount, P.E.I., age 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Timothy J. MacKey.
Born in St. Felix, P.E.I., on Aug. 3,1922, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. and Obeline M.(nee Allain) DesRoches. Loving mother to Joyce Dunlope of Belmont, P.E.I, and Ivan MacKey of Toronto. Dear grandmother to Sheryl, Jacqueline, Robin Mary and Douglas. She is also survived by six great-great-grandchildren. Dear sister to Mary Provost of Alberton and half brother Delsie (Melvina) DesRoches of St. Felix. She was predeceased by a grandson Robert, a sister Irene and by half-brothers and sister Francis DesRoches, Edgar DesRoches and Louise MacKinnon. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton, until 10:15 a.m. Tuesday, then to the Sacred Heart Church, Alberton, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment in the church cemetery. Visiting hours Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. As an expression of sympathy memorials to the Western Hospital equipment fund or to the Tignish Seniors Coop Home would be gratefully appreciated. The St. Felix council of the CWL will hold prayers for their departed member on Monday evening at 5:45 p.m.
