Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit of the Prince Edward Home on Thursday, November 10, 2011, of Mr. Johnnie Gibbs of Grand Tracadie, age 78 years. Beloved husband of Betty (nee Campbell) and dear father of Helen (Garry) King of Ontario, Sonia (Sheldon) MacDonald, Nancy (Larry) MacKinnon, and Lisa Gibbs (Darrell Dalton), all of Grand Tracadie. Loving Grampie of Gary, Steven and Darren King, Sean and Sara MacDonald, Michael, Kellie and Trevor MacKinnon, Olivia Gibbs and Great Grampie of Colten and Braelyn King. Brother of Geraldine Watts, Mary Katherine Huggins, Raymond (Paula) Watts, Harold (Arlene) Watts, Allison (Dolores) Watts, and brother-in-law of George Barna and Georgina Watts. He was predeceased by his sons Darren and Billy, parents Margaret and Jackie Watts, brothers Michael, Eddie and Ronnie Watts, and his sister Doreen Barna. Resting at the Cutcliffe Funeral Home from where the funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Suffolk Cemetery. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations in Johnnie’s memory may be made to the Suffolk Cemetery Fund.
