Diane Chaisson

CHAISSON, Rosena Diane (MacCallum) (Davey) – 67 Caribou, passed away Friday November 11, 2011 in the Aberdeen Hospital after a long and tenacious fight with illness.
Born on Pictou Island she was a daughter of the late Arthur Roy & Catherine (MacDonald) MacCallum. Diane was a beloved wife, mother grandmother, sister and friend. Her hospitality, humour, and fiery spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Diane worked as seamstress, loved ceramics, tole painting, and learning how to use the computer.
Diane is survived by her husband, Stanley; daughter, Karren ( Barry Worden); sons, Craig (Lynne), Robert (Michelle), and James (Kimberly); step son, Stanley Louis; step daughters Tanya and Jacqueline; eleven grandchildren; sister, Ardith; brother, Sterling (Linda); sister in law Rose; extended family and numerous friends. She was predeceased by her first husband Bruce; sister, Muriel; brother, Dunn; and her guardian and constant companion Sandy.
Visitation will be held 2-4 & 7-9 PM Tuesday in McLaren Funeral Home, Pictou. Funeral service will take place 2:00 PM Wednesday from Pictou United Church, with Rev. Mary-Beth Moriarity officiating. Burial will be in Seaview Cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to the Aberdeen Hospital Intensive Care Unit or a charity of your choice.
