WILLIAMS, GEORGE - The death of George Everette Williams, loving husband of Annie (Colpitts) Williams, occurred on Saturday, November 12, 2011 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1918 in Saint John, he was the son of the late George Thomas and Haley M. (Moore) Williams. George was as longshoreman for ILA Local 273 for 37 years and was an avid hunter and fisherman. In addition to his wife Annie, he is survived by his daughter Dale (David) Long of Hampton; three daughters-in-law Eleanor Williams and Nancy Williams both of Saint John and Maureen Williams of Medicine Hat, AB; Annie’s daughters Barbara (Jeff) Jones of London, ON and Linda (Doug) Hubbard of Grand Bay-Westfield; a sister Josephine Williams of Saint John and a brother Louis Williams also of Saint John; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife Dorothy Ann, sons Paul, Gary and George and brothers Jack and Harold Williams.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). By request there will be no visitation or funeral service.
