The death occurred peacefully at the Souris Hospital on Sunday, November 13, 2011 of Hughie McPhee of Bayfield, Veteran of Second World War, age 87 years.
Beloved husband of Anne (nee Fay). Loving father of Bill, Margie, Marie and Joanie (Jamie) McCarthy. Loving Grampy of Brynn, Riley, Liam and Ainsley. Predeceased by parents John Joe and Rose McPhee and brothers Fred and Danny.
Resting at the Dingwell Funeral Home in Souris for visiting hours on Tuesday, November 15, 2011 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral to be held on Wednesday morning, November 16, 2011 to St. Columba Roman Catholic Church in Fairfield for funeral mass to be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment in the parish cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Hughie to Souris Hospital would be appreciated.
Members of the Royal Canadian Legion are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday evening at 5:45 p.m. for Legion service.
