BROWN, LAWSON W. - 89, of Southampton passed away Saturday, November 12,
2011 at Highcrest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Southampton, he was a son of the late Lloyd and Grace (Carter) Brown. He was a veteran of World War II serving with the Air Force. He was a fiddler in the band, Country Strangers for many years. He was a church elder and later designated an honorary elder, as well as a choir member and trustee of the Southampton United Church. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by wife, the former Marjorie Gilbert; brothers, Gerald and Claude. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday November 16, 2011 at the Southampton United Church, Rev. Allan Griffin officiating. Burial in the Southampton Cemetery.
