Passed peacefully with grace and dignity at St. Patrick’s Mercy Home, Nellie Whittle, at the age of 95 years. Predeceased by her first husband Leo Power (1983), sons Leo (1967) and Jack (2006) and second husband, Frank Whittle (2003). Left to cherish her memory and love are her daughters, Mary, Lucy (Alex Aitchison), Anne (Ian Masson), Pauline (Rick Gill), Cathy (Harold Power), Sharon (Tom Rossiter), sons; Patrick (Marion), Jim (Maureen), Joseph (Mary), 22 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren. Also to mourn are her dearly loved sister Rita (Delbert Hall) and family in Knoxville, TN; the Whittle family, other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation Monday and Tuesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate her life will be held at St. Patrick’s Church, Patrick Street on Wednesday, November 4th, at 9:30 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery. Flowers graciously declined. Those wishing so may donate to St. Patrick’s Mercy Home Foundation.
