MacIntosh, Elsie Jean, The passing occurred Monday, November 14, 2011 at the Mira Long Term Care Facility of Elsie Jean MacIntosh aged 91 years. Born in Truro, June 22, 1920 in Truro to William and Elspeth (Johnston) Smith. Elsie was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth; brother, William; sisters, Marjorie, Bathie and Alice. She is survived by sons, Gerald (Annette), Truro; Brian (Valerie), Mississauga, ON; daughter, Anne, Truro; grandchildren, Tanya MacKenzie (Tracey), Valley, Heather Ryan (Patrick), Antigonish, Patricia Roberts (Derek), Elmsdale, Jennifer Stacey (Mitchell) and Jeffery MacIntosh, Mississauga, ON; great grandchildren, Kristina and Kyle MacKenzie, Caitlin and Jacob Roberts. Elsie was a former member of the First United Churc UCW. She spent her life raising her family, she was an avid baseball fan and loved to cheer for her favorite baseball team, the Blue Jays. She had a special love for her gardens in the summer time and her home always smelled of fresh cut flowers. She was so kind and generous to everyone who knew her. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. No visitation or service by request. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice. The family would like to thank the staff at the Mira Long Term Care Centre, Young Street Truro for the care they have provided her over the past number of years.
