(February 8th, 1961)– It is with great sadness that the family of the late Glenda Keating announce her passing in the presence of family and friends at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre on November 14, 2011. She will be missed by her loving husband, Larry Hann; loving mother Rita; two beautiful step-daughters: Melissa and Maria (Karl Reddy and daughter Erica); two sisters: Julia (Gordon Brown), Terri (Rosaire Cote); five brothers: Colin (Iona) of Edmonton, Rick of Edmonton, Glen, her twin brother of Ottawa, Ken (Melinda) of Stephenville, and nephew Paul (Melanie and beautiful daughter, Isabel) of Ottawa, who she treated as a younger brother, along with many loving nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Richard, and brother William (Bill). Glenda was loved and will be missed greatly by a large circle of friends. She spoke often about how fortunate she was to have so many friends of good character and integrity around her, who she reminded regularly and never took for granted. At Glenda’s request cremation has taken place. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 16th, 2011 from 11 a.m. – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, November 17th, 2011 at 9:30 a.m. from Corpus Christi Church. Glenda’s wishes were to have donations generously made to the Palliative Care Unit at the Dr. L.A. Miller Centre in St. John’s. Flowers are also graciously accepted.
