On Sunday, Nov. 13, 2011, at Colchester County Hospital, Truro, N.S., Esther Jean (Quigley) MacWilliam, after having fought a courageous battle with Lupis, passed away. She was born on Jan. 23, 1963, in Windsor, N.S., the daughter of Arthur Scott and Hazel Alice (Waddell) Quigley of O’Leary. Loving mother of her son Christopher (Shannon), East Gore, N.S.; and her daughter Laura MacWilliam (Joe Hirtle), Halifax, N.S. She was the proud grandmother of her dollie, Julia MacWilliam. Sister of Donald (Janet), Victoria West; David (Olga), Mount Royal; Allen (Janet), and Philip (Linda), all of Truro, N.S.; and sister Mary Quigley, Victoria West. She will always be remembered by her loving friend, Jeanne Rokosh. Esther had a gentle, accepting nature of love that was the foundation she lived by, taught her children to cherish, and built a successful life. Predeceased by her nephew Johnathan Quigley. Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home and Chapel, O’Leary, with visiting hours on Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral will be held on Friday in the chapel at 11 a.m. Interment to follow in the Peoples Cemetery, Mount Royal.
