Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, Cynthia Rogers, aged 79 years. Predeceased by her husband, Spurgeon; parents: Maude and Azariah Miller; brothers: Alexander and Albert; brother-in-law, Sandy Churchill. Leaving to mourn sons: Robert and Roger (Sharon); four grandchildren and one great-grandson; sister, Edith Churchill (Jake Bishop) and brother, Bill (Jean) Bristol, England; special foster brothers: Gordon Miller, Walter Tricco (Hazel) and Charlie Tricco (Joan) all of Ontario; special friends: Martha Clark; Winnie and Allan George Oliver; Peggy and Don Reelis; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Wednesday and Thursday from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place from St. Lawrence Anglican Church, Portugal Cove on Friday, November 18, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. with cremation to follow.
